Discover how to work with Peter Lang on sourcing reviews for your book.
SECURING REVIEWS FOR YOUR BOOK
Positive reviews from respected peers and experts significantly impact a book's visibility and influence within the scholarly community. Peter Lang Group offers dedicated support to facilitate the review process for your published work.
UNDERSTANDING THE REVIEW PROCESS
Here's a breakdown of the book review process
1. Targeted review invitations: The Reviews Team identifies relevant contacts and sends them invitation emails. These emails introduce your book and request their review.
2. Review copy delivery: Upon confirmation from the contacted reviewer, a review copy (digital or print) is sent directly.
3. Follow-up and alternatives: If no response is received within 7-10 days, the team follows up. In case of continued non-response, authors might be consulted for alternative journal contacts.
4. Review publication and promotion: Reviewers are encouraged to share the published review with the team for inclusion in our internal repository. Positive reviews are then leveraged for promotional purposes and displayed on our website.
HOW YOU CAN ASSIST
• Suggest reviewers during submission: Authors can recommend potential reviewers during the manuscript submission process by providing relevant information on the included publicity form.
• Identify additional review opportunities (post-publication): After your book's publication, you can suggest new review opportunities discovered through networking or events.
Please note: We encourage waiting until your book is published to avoid delays in invitation fulfilment. To suggest additional reviewers, please email reviews@peterlang.com with the following:
• Reviewer name, address, telephone number and email address
